We are now able to operate our school as before. We still have a few measures that we have to respect, but we can have in-person classes. However, we will continue to have online classes for people who prefer that.

September 14, 2021

We were hoping to reopen to in-person classes on September 15, 2021. However, the government of Nova Scotia is postponing Phase 5 to October 4th, 2021. So unless they postpone Phase 5 again, we have to wait October 4th, to re-open for in-person classes. We still have online classes.

June 18, 2021

It has been a while. We hope to be able to re-open to in-person classes in September 2021. We still have to do a few things. In the mean time, we are still having classes online. You can join anytime.

Good news! We heard today that our school will be added to the list of approved DLIs for Nova Scotia. So you should see ILI’s name on the IRCC list on November 3rd, 2020. However, there will be new things for the students to do before being able to come to Canada and Nova Scotia.

Here is the latest news.   The federal government will allow international students to come to Canada if they are registered to an approved school.   A school is approved by the federal government if they have submitted a reopening plan that has been accepted by the provincial and federal governments.   ILI has submitted its plan, and we hope it will be approved soon.   However there will still be some conditions because we are still in a situation of pandemic, even though in our province, we don’t see too many cases of COVID compared to other provinces.   You still need to make sure you don’t have any symptoms and you need to wear a mask in the building and in the school.   In the meantime, we still have online classes that you can take from anywhere in the world.

Everybody is aware that we are in a pandemic situation.  Canada has made some decisions affecting language schools.  Our priority is the well-being of our students, our staff, and our host families.   So, we have decided to suspend our classes for this week.   Starting next week, we will be going online.   We will be online until we are told that it will be safe to return to normal class.  If you have any questions, please send us an email to study@ili.ca
