ILI’s teachers love what they do and do it extremely well.  Just ask any student who has ever studied with us! Through regular workshops and annual conferences, our teachers ensure that their skills and methodology are up to date and varied. ILI’s teachers are also well trained and educated.  All of them have their CELTA certification from Cambridge and many have either their DELTA or their Masters in EFL or Adult Education.  We are interested in education and many of us are involved in personal and professional development on a continual basis.

We are all interested in other cultures and many have traveled and taught in other countries, such as: Poland, Thailand, Japan, El Salvador and Spain, to name a few.  We have all experienced culture shock and know how it feels to be far away from home. Some of our teachers are bilingual and speak both English and French and some of our teachers do teacher training as well as teach English to learners. Many of us are involved in the social activities at ILI and we join you during trips to PEI and Cape Breton for activities such as sight-seeing, camping, whale watching and swimming!
